Post Graduate Courses
Admissions are subject to the Rules & Regulations of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India for the session 2023-24.
The admission in P.G. courses would be done strictly as per N.C.I.S.M. guidelines on the basis of the merit in the Entrance Exam AIAPGET.
Eligibility to appear in the Entrance Exam:
- A person possessing the degree in Ayurved of a University or Board or medical institution specified in the Second Schedule to the NCISM Act shall be eligible for admission in the post-graduate degree course.
- The rotatry internship of the candidate must be completed before 30th June. Exemption of 3 months may or may not be considered depending on the guideline of university, NCISM/Selection committee.
Period of study and attendance :-
- The student shall have to undergo a study for a period of three years after the admission, out of which first year shall be devoted to preliminary course and following two years for specialty course.
- The students shall have to attend at least seventy five per cent of total lectures, practicals and clinical tutorials or classes to become eligible for appearing in the examination.
- The students shall have to attend the hospital and other duties as may be assigned to them during the course of study.
- The Students shall have to do House job duties and Clinical Registrar’s duties in their respective departments during preliminary and final courses.
- The students shall have to attend special lectures, demonstrations, seminars, study tours and such other activities as may be arranged by the teaching departments.
Examination and assessment:-
- The post graduate degree course shall have two examinations in the following manner:-
- the preliminary examination shall be conducted at the end of one academic year after admission.
- The final examination shall be conducted on completion of two academic years after passing preliminary examination.
